Antoniaart's Ceramic sculptures at the Ruth Bancroft Gardens June 18-July 18

I have five large sculptures featured in the Ruth Bancroft succulent garden in Walnut creek this month. It was a real treat to place my pieces in and among the beautiful plants. The bold colours of my work really looks fantastic in the garden environment, if you get a chance to go you should as all the cacti are coming into full bloom and it is a wonderful presentation of colour and shapes.

Marin Arts Open, Mothers Day, Ceramic Sculpture, the garden and YoYo Ma

For those of you that were unable to make it this year to my Open Studio, this posting is for you.

Sat 8th was a glorious day, I enjoyed talking to friends, new neighbors and art lovers.
In the down moments I pruned the roses, weeded and soaked up the sunshine.

I also worked on 2 new pieces. It was good to have a few quiet moments.

Talking of quiet moments today might just be one long one!

The perfect day to be in the studio with YoYo Ma and his Soul of the Tango! Alex is walking the hills in the rain and after posting my photos from this morning I will
work on my new Landscape Sculpture Torso that needs more copper wire weaving.

For more pictures of the day go to my facebook link where I will post an album for Open Studios.

Landscapes - Ceramic Sculpture Show -Factory Outlet Gallery, Mokelumne Hills CA

Landscapes - a Ceramic Sculpture show in the heart of the Gold Country
I had a fantastic time at the opening for my
show in Mokelumne Hills. This small
but wonderful gallery is the place to go on a thursday night
when you are up in the Gold Country, across from the Leger Hotel an historic landmark, The Factory Outlet Gallery is a true gem. One of the owners James Aarons and I are pictured in the gallery the following day. The opening was a huge success we had so many people coming by to look at my art and meet me. I had a great time, the only names I remember were the 4 x Mikes ( pictured below ). We stayed the night at the Leger Hotel, woke to a stunning sunrise and gorgeous ride home.

Tuppy Lawson's sculptural forms, developed over the last decade, are inspired by the Mediterrnean and North American landscapes. She uses watercolor techniques to draw and paint her visions into the topographical forms of the sculptures.

Tuppy says, "I'm concerned about the environment and the impact of mankind throughout the world and feel compelled to record these snapshot vignettes of our beautiful surrounding landscapes before they are ruined or disappear altogether. I use my Canon camera to record landscapes as I travel, and refer back to these pictures as needed."
